4 Day Savannahlander Train Explorer

Departing Cairns on Wednesdays the 4 Day Savannahlander Train Explorer adventure begins with a coach ride up to Mareeba to board the Savannahlander train. Lunch at Dimbulah. Then on the Chillagoe for a caves and town tour. Overnight Chillagoe.

Day 2 – Take the train to Mt Surprise, morning tea along the way. Lunch at Mt Surprise then board the coach and travel on to Cobbold Gorge. An afternoon boat ride up the gorge then relax before dinner. Overnight Cobbald Gorge

Day 3 – After a relaxed breakfast the coach will take you to Einsleigh Pub for lunch. Perhaps take a walk to Copperfield Gorge before reboarding the train and journeying back to Mt Surprise. Disembark the train and take the coach to Undara for a Undarra Lava Tubes guided walk. Back on the bus to return to Mt Surprise. Overnight Mt Surprise.

Day 4 – Reboard the train after breakfast and journey back towards Cairns. Stop at Almaden Railway Hotel for lunch and stopping again at Dimbulah Railway station where afternoon tea is available to purchase in the support of the Historical Society. Returning back to Cairns and the end of your journey.
